DAY 1 | ARRIVAL – PANAMA CITY

Meet and greet or representative at Tocumen International Airport and transfer to hotel in Panama City.

Panama City is an easy cosmopolitan living area, a charming combination of the historic and the modern, the international and the Latin. Seeing the number of skyscrapers in the city, visitors typically say that they did not know that there was such a modern and beautiful city in Central America.  Panama City has a history as an international crossroads, so its population has become accustomed to having visitors and are among the friendliest and most collaborative in the world.

 DAY 2 | FULL DAY EMBERA INDIGENOUS COMMUNITY – GAMBOA

Discover the roots of Embera and Wuanaan ethnic groups, two of the indigenous people who inhabit the isthmus of Panama, on the banks of the Chagres River.  Just minutes away are the communities Ella Puru and Katuma, whose inhabitants will warmly welcome you, explain about their customs, lifestyle and culture, and give you a tour of the trails where their ancestors hunted.

 DAY 3 | GAMBOA – GATUN EXPEDITION TOUR

The tour starts at the Gamboa Rainforest Resort where a guide will take you on a boat tour through the Panama Canal into secret waterways to find hidden islands where Capuchin and Howler Monkeys can be seen leaping in the trees above. Occasionally, they become curious and venture down to take a closer look at visitors.

 DAY 4 | PANAMA CITY – BOQUETE

Transfer from hotel in Panama City to Albrook domestic airport. You will take a flight to David and then transfer to Boquete.

Boquete is a cozy mountain town, so you will not have problems exploring the city on foot. By the way, hiking is one of the biggest attractions in these homes, as you can choose to climb to the top of the volcano Baru or, if you prefer, walk along one of the most famous trails in Panama: The Quetzal Trail. With luck, you may see the rare Quetzal Glowing in its natural habitat. If you fancy a more «cultural» activity, you can visit a coffee plantation, although if you are looking for strong emotions, you should not miss the opportunity to rafting among the rapids of the waters of Chiriqui Viejo.

 DAY 5 | BOQUETE – COFFEE PLANTATION TOUR

This route invites you to discover the good quality of Boquete’s coffee, because thanks to its weather, fertile soil and precise altitude, optimum qualities of refining are obtained; that makes it stand among the world’s best coffees. Transfer to La Milagrosa Farm where one of the country’s best biological coffees is produced. Afterwards, walk through the plantations where some of its varieties are grown; among them stands the prestigious Geisha coffee. The employees harvest the fruits manually and carefully. The tour will continue in the area where the pulp is removed from the coffee cherry, washed and finally dried in the sun. This way, the traditional process plus the passion, dedication and experience give as a result an excellent quality product with unique characteristics that satisfy all palates. Finally, a coffee tasting will be held, within which its scent, aroma and character are merged while creating a perfect balance of sweet and bitter tastes and blending.

 DAY 7 | BOCA CHICA

You will meet our representative from Cala Mia Hotel Boutique Hotel. Transfer by car to Boca Chica and then by boat to Boca Brava Island.

The national park, created in 1994, covers 60 square miles (150 km2) of glistening ocean and more than 20 magnificent islands with lush green tropical forest and many palm fringed beaches. When one leaves outside the hotel, one sees Isla Linarte, the beginning of the national park itself. Just around the corner you will find an exciting and easy-to-explore world that opens for you. The islands are a treasure of water and nature, where once pirates and Spanish galleons sailed. On land, there are also many places to explore near the hotel.

 DAY 9 | BOCA CHICA – PANAMA CITY

At Schedule time, you will meet tour representative that will pick you up to David Airport to take the flight back to Panama City.

The tour starts at the Ruins of Panama La Vieja, which is the name of the place where the first settlement of the city of Panama was. The history goes back 15 of August of the 1519, when it was founded by Pedrarias Davila, what turned Panama into the first city established by the Spaniards in the coasts of the Pacific Ocean. Its foundation replaced to the towns of Santa Maria the Antigua of the Darien and Acla, turning to Panama in the capital of Castile of Gold in 1520.

The city of Panama was the center of departure of the Spaniards who conquered the region of Peru in 1532, and served as a transit to be able to mobilize all the gold and silver from America to Spain.  It is now a set of Ruins which was declared a World Heritage Site in 2003 by UNESCO.

The history of Casco Viejo begins on January 21, 1673, almost two years after the sacking of Panama La Vieja in 1671. The new governor of Panama (Antonio Fernandez de Cordoba and Mendoza suggested that the settlers settled in a more the Casco Viejo was delineated with greater planning, which was in accordance with the laws of the Spanish Crown in the territories of the mainland. It was in 1997 that this place became a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
