HALF DAY AZUERO’S FOLKLORE

Discover Panama’s culture and folklore in a half-day visit to Azuero where you will meet its skillful artisans who keep their traditions from the colonial times intact. Particularly, you will be able to see the making of the polleras, which are beautiful hand-made painstaking dresses worn by women during the period of the Conquest.

You will also be able to experience the mastery of the locals at manufacturing the eye-catching masks made up with Papier-mâché which emulate bright-colored demons or animals; they are used in traditional festivities such as Corpus Christi and Diablicos Sucios.
